Case study No. 3: Automotive
A corrosion test chamber from the automotive industry must be air-conditioned. The air temperatures are between -15°C and +60°C and must be controlled in a short time. The corrosion test chamber lies in a saline mist.
Stainless steel heat exchangers cannot be used, because the customer wants to minimize the risk of rust particles in the air.
In cooperation with the plant manufacturer, a solution for air conditioning of the room must be found. The exchanger should be located in the inflow channel to ensure a fast regulation of the system. One hundred percent corrosion resistance must be guaranteed. The temperatures of the heating and cooling medium (automotive) are between -30°C and +80°C.

At the same time, it is made of solid plastic and therefore 100% corrosion-resistant to the salty air. The corrosion test chamber can be built without corrosion-prone materials and can be operated without interference. Temperature control in the chamber is also guaranteed.
